The SICAFE is positioned as “top of mind” coffee EXPO and  as an essential meeting place for professionals in the coffee sector. The 1st edition which was to be held from April 16 to 18 will be held finally for obvious reasons of health security from 03 to 05 June 2020 at the Caistab Abidjan plateau.

This platform for exchange, opportunity and reflection on issues in the sector, will bring together all the actors for 3 days.

The first International Coffee Expo called SICAFE, initially planned for April 16, 17 and 18, 2020 has been postponed for June 03, 04 and 05, 2020, APA get wind of on Thursday from the show’s organizing committee.

In a press release sent to APA, the Organizing Committee chaired by Franck Mohamed Kessé announces that this “decision comes following preventive and security measures linked to the Covid-19 epidemic and which recommend the restriction of large demonstrations and rallies of mass “.

The SICAFE, which positions itself as a benchmark fair in the field of coffee-culture, wants to be a meeting of the actors of the sector with the mission of creating a platform for exchanges on coffee in an environment which promotes public partnership -private and private-private.

Actors in the coffee sector in Cote d’ivoire, one of the leaders countries producers in Africa, announced Thursday the organization of the first edition of the International Coffee Expo called SICAFE scheduled from April 16 to 18 2020 in Abidjan.

Franck Mohamed Kessé, President of the Organizing Committee for the event, announced to the press, the “official launch of the first international coffee fair called Le SICAFE”, which will be held around the theme “Challenges and opportunities of production and sustainable coffee consumption ”.

“This year, Cote d’Ivoire goes from third (African) second only to Ethiopia which is an example for local consumption” with “about 60%” of their production local consumed”…
